Kevin Smith, Founder

Passionate about making a difference, Kevin has set out a mission to achieve impact in delivering support to those who need a little helping hand.

With a background in sport, corporate, education and support sectors, the vision of In Your Corner Solutions will draw on all his past experiences.

As an active member of the Rotary Club of Frinton-on-Sea, the lead behind the success that is Walton Youth Club and the Secretary of Frinton & Walton Community Minibus, Kevin gives a huge amount of time to the community in a voluntary capacity.

Shaping a multi-faceted support provision, centred on personalised solutions, sits at heart of the DNA with a non-negotiable of being best in class!

The promise is to be efficient, effective and sustainable, in order to change lives, save lives and make lives.

With the support of the two Co-Director’s and drawing on his qualifications, professional background and commitment to drive change for both young and old, Kevin takes the lead on the day to day operations and will bring together a team who will serve a portfolio of solutions.    

Lynsey Ritchie-Fagg, Co-Director

Lynsey is a dedicated and results-driven professional with extensive experience in governance, compliance, financial management and working with children. 

Her career has spanned various sectors, including local government, education and project administration.

As a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) for two Parish Councils, she oversee’s both administrative and financial operations, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations and governance best practices. 

Alongside her work in governance, Lynsey has worked with young children in reading and creative activities, fostering a love of learning, and contributing to their personal growth in a voluntary capacity.

Her qualifications in governance and compliance, combined with experience working with children, demonstrate commitment to serving both organisational needs and the development of children within the community. 

Lynsey will be taking the lead on Financial governance and will sit as a signatory for In Your Corner Solutions.

Phil Aiken, Co-Director

From the mountains of Bolivia to the boardrooms of blue-chip companies, Phil has managed and completed projects ranging from leading a team in the construction of a new mud-brick church, to developing sponsorship strategies for a new motor racing circuit and a world-class aerobatic team.

Phil has managed large scale events that have seen him become an Ambassador of the Bardolino Novello Wine (not bad for a teatotaller!), staging a Tea Party for HM the Queen and delivering three prestige customer experience events for Aston Martin. 

Phil brings proven success in marketing, sponsorship and event management with exceptionally strong networking and relationship-building skills.

A natural coaching style has been refined with training in Personal Performance and Executive Coaching, as well becoming an NLP Practitioner, driven by a particular interest for wellbeing in elite sport. 

This then led to an MSc in Sport Business and Leadership with Loughborough University with a dissertation focused on the lived experience of elite athletes and informed a potential wellbeing pathway. 

Outside of work, Phil volunteers on the board of the Hope Classic Rally, a unique charity event that has raised nearly £2m for the work of WeSeeHope, for which he is also an Ambassador.  He has also served as a School Governor (Vice Chair and sub-committee chair), playing a lead role in a 20-month turnaround of success.  

Phil will be taking the lead on Best Practice within his governance responsibilities for In Your Corner Solutions.
